so the olympic torch came through seoul on sunday. i went to dinner with my small group, so i didn't see it. but we did drive through where it was coming right before. part one is the force. part two, tomorrow, will be the reds.
i love this picture. i dont know why they are standing there with swords or why they were all by themselves. if you zoom in you can see they saw me snapping their pics. wish the mirror wasn't in frame.
this is the first time i had ever seen the blue house- the equivalent of the white house. you can see the roof on the right.
the first time i saw riot police and riot buses i was kind of scared/excited. but after i had seen them all decked out a dozen times with no action, i started to lose interest. i dont really even notice them anymore.

I'm looking forward to the next 29 days. However, for every day you miss, you die.
maybe we can just chop a small part of your body off for each day missed.
about the riot police- i remember getting comfortable thinking europe was just like the states, until i saw something out of place like that. it made me appreciate the bill of rights.
kind of funny that the riot police seem to wear nothing that we as Westerners perceive as riot gear ie: guns/helmets/ammo belts, but then maybe they are heading somewhere to "gear up".......
or maybe I have just seen too many movies.
