someone told me thursday that on friday i would only have 2 classes instead of four. im getting used to this not knowing stuff until right before it happens thing so i was a little skeptical. turns out there was an impromptu english festival 07. and i thought that was a little strange considering i am THE english teacher at the school and no one told me about it. am i supposed to be reading into this? is my english not good enough for them? well i went anyway and took this video with my camera. the quality is surprising cleat so i hope to take more videos.

near the end the principal came up to me and asked me to give a short speech in front of the whole school on the "attitude" of the students compared with american students and also to pick my favorite performance. i feel like i might be losing some of my stage fright because i wasn't really scared at all. maybe it was because they were korean. if i still have it when i get back to the states i will just try to imagine my audience as koreans and that will summons my courage.

you are very good at english.... i am very happy at this school... the bourgeoisie has resolved personal worth and in place of freedom is exploitation for profit alone... you are very good students and have a good attitude... stuff like that.
