went to dinner with my teachers again tonight. i could be wrong, but it seems like they like to go to theme restaurants. of all the times i have been out with them we have been to octopus, raw fish, acorn, and now a tofu restaurant.
the reason we all went out today was because it was the last day of a 'teaching english in english' seminar. they told me i should go to it even though it was mostly in korean. later my co-teacher told me that they wanted me to come so that i could get over-time pay. on the first day of the seminar i saw my name all over the itinerary and asked my co-teacher why and she said so that i would make sure to get over time. pretty sweet. i like my co-workers alot.

vice principal (on left)

that is mr pae. he is really really nice. he has been helping me with my korean and took me to a palace and restaurant one time.

there's my principal again. EVERYTIME we go out i always end up sitting across from him. i think he likes me. but that's ok because i like him. incidentally i had to arm wrestle him the other day. it was kind of awkward because in this culture where all the teachers stand and bow when he walks into the room, i didn't know whether to let him win. i didn't.
also today on the advice of my co-teacher i showed him the picture of the pig snout (pic below) and asked him if he had eaten it before. the next thing i knew we had a date planned to go next week and eat some. score!

wait, is that the tofu restaurant? because one of those things looks like a whole, deep fried fish to me.
will you please cook us korean delicacies when you come back here?!
especially if they involve arm wrestling for pig snout!!
um, update!?
