shark fin soup. doesn't beat the hotdog sandwich, but sharks eat squids (and invariably their ink). and as we all know sharks store squid ink in their fins a la camels storing fat in their humps. so by my thinking there was probably some squid ink in the shark fin soup. AND i was eating the fin to boot. so this definetly tops pat's dinky little soup. touche!

one time my brother carl wanted to order sharks fin soup. we were in las vegas and he was about 11 at the time. my dad has always encouraged us to eat whatever weird shit we want to try, but when he saw that the sharks fin soup was 47 dollars, he said no.
I am totally jealous you had shark fin soup. But your reign as weird-food regent is coming to a close, mark my words.
