all of these pics are in random order apparently. but this weekend my hero yong gu took me to get a cell phone. it is the most advanced cell phone ive ever seen and yong gu got me a great deal on it. i'l take a pic of it later.
we then went to yong gu's house. on the way he pointed out to me a hill that was comparable in size to missionary ridge in chattanooga. it had been a landfill but now it was a hill with trees and grass and there were trails on it for walking. In the middle of it was a power plant that took the methane and turned it into power. that is what that tower thing is part of. pretty sweet.

when i got to yon gu house his sister had quite a feeast prepared. it was by far some of the best korean food i've had to date. those little raps were my favorite. and i had the best kimche so far here as well. yong gu's sister even sent some home with me! ive been munching on it this weekend.
His sister's husband had to work on saturday (koreans work too much!) but she had a friend over who had two girls that were twins. Yong gu has two nephews. they were all super nice. that's tong gu's sister next to him in the first pic.
it was a great saturday.

in the top picture (that's kind of covered up but you can see it if you click on it), there's a picture of you and a woman and this food that looks like little-ball type things all clustered together. and tiny forks. what is that food?
i am glad you had a good weekend, and i am happy you got a new robot phone.
Grapes Em? Actually something more like muscadines Will said. The rinds in the forward bowl are how I identified them.
forks with grapes!?!
Maybe they are an elusive variety of grape.....that cannot be picked up with mere fingers.
grapes... i dont know why they look so effulgent in that picture though. the forks were for the apples. btw korean pears are really good. they look and taste nothing like western pears. give em a try sometime.
